Wish you could secure a bunch of subdomains with a single wildcard cert? Now you can!

With the recent release of the ACME v2 protocol by Let's Encrypt, you can now issue wildcard certificates for all your domains. This allows you to issue one certificate for use on all subdomains.

To issue a wildcard certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your hosting control panel and find the domain you wish to secure. Click the "Let's Encrypt" service icon.
  2. Select the "Issue wildcard certificate" checkbox and select the domain aliases you also want to secure (if any).
  3. Click Install (or Renew if the domain is already secured with a Let’s Encrypt certificate).
  4. Follow the instructions presented.*

*Note: Wildcard certs issued by Let's Encrypt require DNS verification. If your DNS is hosted with us, these DNS updates usually only take a few moments. If your DNS is hosted by someone else, be sure to copy the appropriate "_acme-challenge" TXT record to your current DNS hosting provider.
